Synopsis:

After our class reunion, I woke up in a hotel room with my ex Edmund, only to find out that I had sex with him last night while we were both intoxicated.

Filled with remorse about betraying Sebastian, my husband, I made the difficult decision to confess everything and face whatever consequences came my way.

When I arrived home, Sebastian wasn't there. His laptop was open with his WhatsApp visible when a notification suddenly appeared

"The drug worked perfectly–Anastasia Sterling was completely unconscious the entire time. She just left the hotel looking absolutely destroyed. Get ready for divorce proceedings." -Edmund

Sebastian quickly replied: "Once Anastasia leaves with nothing but the clothes on her back, your $500,000 payment will be transferred immediately." -Sebastian

I hadn't even processed what I was seeing when my husband's WhatsApp automatically logged out.

Panicking, I shut down the laptop and tried to force a smile at the black screen.

"It can't be true. Sebastian loves me so much..."

I couldn't finish the sentence. My chest tightened with pain as tears streamed down my face uncontrollably. I buried my face in my hands and sobbed.

Yesterday was our college reunion. I really wasn't planning to go at all.
