The staff looked into Carissa Solomon’s eyes with a hint of pity and sympathy.
“And according to the system records, Mr. Warren Knapp had already registered marriage with a lady named Madilyn Archer half a month ago.”
She heard that her boyfriend of six years secretly obtained a marriage certificate with his first love behind her back. Carissa was not very surprised.
“Okay, thank you.”
After saying that, she put the fake marriage certificate into her bag, put on sunglasses, and leave. Standing at the entrance of City Hall, she sent a message to Emma Todd.
“Emma, I go with you to start a business in Dimborough.”
Emma seemed busy and did not reply immediately. Carissa put her phone in her pocket and hailed a taxi by the roadside. She handed the driver an address…
She didn’t return home until late in the evening, exhausted. Just as she took out her keys, she heard the elevator’s sound from behind. Warren walked out and asked with a smile, “Carie, where did you go?”
Carissa stared at the smile on his face, momentarily taken aback. “I went to the place where we got our marriage certificate. I originally wanted to take a few more photos as a memento, but I found that it had turned into an empty space. Do you know the reason?"
As she spoke, she stared at Warren without blinking, trying to catch a glimpse of guilt on his face. Upon hearing these words, the man only stiffened for a moment, then resumed his usual calm demeanor.
“You must have taken the wrong way. We have already obtained the marriage certificate, so we can take the photos later when we have time. I brought macarons for you, the new product from the brand you like. Try them later and see if you like them.”
With that, Warren handed her the package in his hand and pushed open the door, heading straight towards the bathroom.
